This taste is UNREAL! This recipe is MINE from the scratch! I improvised-and it worked!This is by far one of the most delicious pound cakes WE ever made(Aris and me)!You just HAVE to try it!
I started with the classic vanilla orange&lemon cake recipe,but than-sometimes it is not juicy enough.So i figured-Why not to try on and put creme cheese inside?I took mascarpone cheese and the taste is absolutely craaaaaazy! Not to mention that we eat the cake before we have put it in the oven(dangerous ha?-but it was irresistible!)
- Farina flower(2 cups)
- 2 cups of white sugar
- 200g of butter(room temperature)
- half of cup of vegetable oil
- half of cup of almond milk
- 2 large eggs
- cinnamon (half of spoon)
- nutmeg(half of spoon)
- mascarpone e cheese 200 g
- orange zest
- lemon zest
- orange and lemon juice (half of cup)
Put flower,vanilla dust cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl mix well and set aside.In another large bowl mix butter with sugar until fluffy.Add eggs and continue mixing.Add vegetable oil and milk.Mix it well until combined.Therefor add lemon and orange zest and juice,mix it all well with your mixer.Combine wet ingredients with the flower mixture.At the end add mascarpone cheese.It shouldn’t be rare neither stiff,somewhere in the middle.
In a buttery cake pan add your delicious cake mixture and bake in preheated oven on 180 Celsius.
Your cake is ready when you do the “toothpick” trick.
It is an ABSOLUTE HEAVEN with a cup of tea or filter coffee.
